Wedding Q&A

Congratulations on getting engaged Beautiful! Wedding days are such a special day filled with tons of love and laughter. I am so excited to get to be apart of your big day and get to share that special moment with you before you say " I Do".

My number one priority as your wedding day Hair and/or Makeup Artist is to help you feel confident, comfortable, and stress free about all of your beauty needs. Hopefully this Q&A section helps answer some questions before you get started booking!

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

How do I determine who to pick for my wedding day Hair and Makeup Artist?

I recommend doing your research and finding an artist that fits your style, as soon as possible. Start by looking up artists in your area and looking at their work. Using facebook or instagram is a great tool to see the artists work and get a feel of who they are.

When is the best time to start looking and booking for hair and makeup?

It's never to early to start looking for your hair and makeup artist. I am generally booked 12 months in advance for weddings. Yet, do not let that deter you from contacting me to see if we have your wedding date available.

If you are in need of an artist last minuet because your hair/makeup artist plans fell through, and the wedding is only a month away,Go ahead! Call The Local Lather and ask for Mia. I will do my best to accommodate you, if possible.

I will go ahead a pencil your date in and save the date for 7 days. You will have 7 days to complete the form and send it back to me. There is a $150 Non-Refundable deposit that guarantees that your spot will be held.

The Non-refundable deposit will be used towards your services on your wedding date.

It is non-transferable to any other services or trials.

When to book a trial?

I Recommend booking a trial about 1-2 months before your wedding. This allows you to try out different looks, and let us nail down the things you like or don't like.  Wedding Hair and Makeup trials are not required but they help the wedding day go more smooth and help take all of the guesswork out.

WHAT TO BRING FOR TRIALS:

Hair Accessories used on wedding day (Veil, Clips, ect.)

Inspiration pictures on your dream Hair or Makeup

Please come with CLEAN DRY HAIR

How to determine a schedule for the wedding day:

Ask your photographer what time you have to be photo ready. This helps me determine what time we need to start and if we need to get more stylist to help.

It generally take about 45 mins -1 hour to do hair, 45 mins- 1 hour to do Makeup. The bigger the bridal party the more stylists we need to get done in a timely manor.

For Example:

5 Bridesmaids Makeup x 1 hour per service= 5 Hours for one stylist

5 Bridesmaids Makeup x 1 hour per service= 3 Hours for two stylists

I have a a list of trusted stylists and makeup artists that I work with on a regular basis that I am more then happy to contact to see if they have availability. You are more then welcome to contact any stylist and have them help as well.
